This guide explains how Takooni Credits work, how credits are consumed, how to check your remaining balance, and how to purchase additional credits when needed.
What Are Takooni Credits?
Takooni Credits (referred to as Credits) are usage units that allow you to run selected features and activities within Takooni.
Credits are used for resource-intensive operations, including:
- Running Takooni’s core analysis features.
- Generating content with Takooni’s AI-powered Content Generation feature.
- and other benefit that will follow in the future.
When you subscribe to a Takooni plan, your account automatically receives the number of Credits included with that plan.
The number of Credits included varies by subscription plan. Visit the Takooni Pricing page to see the Credit allocation for each available plan.
How to Check Your Available Credits

Your current Credit balance is displayed at the top of the Takooni dashboard using a coin icon. The number displayed next to the icon represents the Credits currently available in your account.
Your balance decreases automatically as you use Credit-based features.
For example, if your account has 100 Credits and you run an analysis that costs 1 Credit, your remaining balance will be 99 Credits.
⚠️ Note: The amount of Credits required may vary depending on the feature. Always review the Credit requirement displayed before starting an operation.
1. Credit Consumption
The following table shows the standard Credit consumption for Takooni’s primary features:
| No. | Takooni Feature | Credit Consumption |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Intent Distribution Analysis | 1 Credit |
| 2 | Topic Clustering & Mapping | 1 Credit |
| 3 | Query Fan Out Analysis | 1 Credit |
| 4 | URL Fetch | 1 Credit |
| 5 | Content Generation | 8 Credits |
2. Content Generation Credit Usage
Content Generation requires more Credits than most analytical features because it involves significantly more processing and AI generation.
Each Content Generation operation consumes 8 Credits.
Before generating content, make sure your account has sufficient Credits to complete the operation.
3. When Are Credits Deducted?
Credits are deducted when you run a feature that requires Credit consumption.
The deduction is associated with the operation you initiate, so we recommend reviewing the displayed Credit cost before confirming an action.
⚠️ Note: For users with Starter plan subscription, which includes up to three users, additional users do not receive separate or extra Credits.
All users share the Credit balance of the main account. Therefore, whenever any user uses a Credit-based feature in Takooni, the required Credits are deducted from the main account’s balance.
If you do not have enough Credits to run a feature, Takooni will prevent the operation from proceeding and prompt you to add more Credits to your account.
What Happens When You Run Out of Credits?
When your Credit balance reaches zero, you can no longer run features that require Credits.
Your existing project and previously available data remain accessible, but Credit-based analysis and generation features will require additional Credits.
To continue using these features, purchase additional Credits through the Takooni dashboard.
How to Purchase Additional Credits
If you need additional Credits, you can purchase them directly from the Takooni dashboard.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Credits section in your Takooni dashboard.
- Find Buy Credit sections, and select Buy.
- Complete the payment process.
- Once the payment has been successfully processed, the purchased Credits will be added to your account.
Credit balances are updated automatically and may take up to 24 hours to appear in your account.
⚠️ Important: If your Credits have not been added after 24 hours, verify that your payment was completed successfully before contacting Takooni Support.
Credit Usage Recommendations
To use your Credits efficiently, we recommend reviewing the available performance data before running an analysis.
For example, use the Content Audit and Priority Focus features to identify URLs that require attention before spending Credits on deeper analysis or Content Generation.
This allows you to allocate Credits toward pages and opportunities that are most relevant to your SEO objectives.
Credit Transfer and Refund Policy
Takooni Credits are intended exclusively for use within the Takooni account where they were purchased.
Please keep the following policies in mind:
- Credits cannot be redeemed for cash. Purchased or allocated Credits cannot be exchanged, withdrawn, or converted into monetary value.
- Credits are non-transferable. Credits purchased by an account are permanently associated with that account and cannot be transferred, sold, or assigned to another Takooni account or third party.
- Credits cannot be transferred between users. If multiple users or teams use Takooni, each account should maintain its own Credit balance according to the applicable subscription or purchase.
- Purchased Credits remain associated with the purchasing account. Purchasing additional Credits does not create a transferable balance or entitlement that can be moved to another account.
⚠️ Important: Before purchasing additional Credits, make sure you are signed in to the correct Takooni account. Credits purchased for an account cannot be moved to another account after the purchase is completed.
